Straight From The Desk of Sterling Kennels....
Sterling Kennels has expanded our canine competition string, and has begun focusing primarily on Hound Type dogs. In addition to our healthy sized pack of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, we have added Salukis as well as Ibizan hounds. Our two youngest Salukis have been doing quite well in a number of classes, with a Champion ribbon already earned, in addition to several top placings. We're really looking forward to seeing how these two youngsters finish out the year. There is a possibility that early in 2010 we will be breeding these two, so keep an eye out for a Litter next year!
Our Terrier division is somewhat new to the kennel, but already Venus and Maverick (american staffordshire terriers) are proving their worth in the show ring. Maverick passed his BH Schutzhund test the first time out, and we can't wait to see how he handles the next level. Venus will be taking a break from the show ring later this year, as the birth of her litter nears. That's right... Venus and Maverick are expecting a litter at the beginning of 2010!!! The whelping will be announced shortly after it happens, so keep an eye out!
Also expecting a litter in 2010 is Amaliricus and Cacilia, two German Shepherds. Amaliricus has earned several placing ribbons, in his short career, and we're very eager to see how he will improve over the coming months. Cacilia also really shines in the show circuit, and has only placed outside of the top four 6 times. Immensely patient and easy to handle, this girl will undoubtedly make a wonderful mother to her upcoming litter. Sterling Kennels has plans to sell all the pups from this litter, so keep an eye out!
We would like to thank all the kennels who have allowed us to purchase a dog from them in the last months. We are thrilled to have these new additions to the kennel, and can't wait to see how their careers progress. While we know some dogs may not be made out for the show circuit, we hope that they'll be able to contribute to our lines and make great parents!
P.S. I'm just really bored.. you don't have to read if you dont want to.
