The more I think about it, the more I would like to host an association or two here. Below is a list of associations I know are already in exsistance and a list of possible associations. I'd love to hear any input on what association(s) you would like to see at Clover Ridge.
Any input/ideas are welcome.
Associations already active somewhere:
Appaloosa Arabian Dressage Friesian Hunter/Jumper/Equitation Paint Horse Pleasure Horse Pony Quarter Horse Racing Reining/Cutting Saddleseat Stock Horse Warmblood Working Cow Horse
Associations not in exsistance or inactive: (the ones in bold I'm seriously considering)
Draft Horse Driving Endurance Eventing Halter Miniature Horse Steeplechase Thoroughbred Western

I would be majorly interested in an Eventing Association. Or a Thoroughbred one. More on eventing, though, because more breeds are welcome. I would help out by hosting shows and events, auctions, etc.

I'm seriously considering a Thoroughbred Association at this point. We could possibly open it to any horse that is at least 50% Thoroughbred, like the Arabian and Stock Horse associations do. Or it could be open to approved Thoroughbred crosses with at least 50% TB blood. For example, Anglo-Arabians, Appendix Quarter Horses, Sport Ponies, and Warmblood crosses. I think we would get a lot more competitors that way..

That would work. I think you should do it. I may open the Eventing Association, as I love eventing.

I think a driving association or an eventing association would do really well. I started up a miniature horse association a few years ago and there really wasn't much of an interest in it, but there maybe now. Same with a draft horse association, I haven't seen many drafts around so I don't know if that would be too popular either.
I do know that with a driving association that Julia at SAI would probably participate, she has a ton[/u][/i] of driving horses and Cassie would probably participate too because she does alot of driving horses as wel. I have a few eventing horses that I would exhibit in an eventing association if there was one. I know that Gambit was looking for one and asked about one at SAI, but I really don't have time to set up and run another association, so I would LOVE to see one Sorry for my ramblings, Im not making much sense tonight, Im way too excited lmao. Okay. I will open an Eventing Association. We'll see what Hanna wants to open. A Driving Association might be nice, though I don't have any Drivers, I could always get some.

Thanks for the input Tess! Yeah, I don't think there would be enough intrest for a Mini associaion; if more people had them I'd do it but even I only have four. And that's saying something, I have about a bazillion horses and growing. Lol. The only problem with driving for me is that I don't know too much about it, but I have been learning a lot on it recently because there's been discussions on it in ISG. I might be able to handle an association for it but I'm not sure. I do have quite a few driving horses. I'll give the Eventing Association a thumbs-up cause I have tons of eventers myself. Sara, I'll PM you some ideas so we can work out the details. I wanna get it open fast so we can put an ad in the next Sim Chronicle. And I'm still deciding on a Thoroughbred Association. On one hand I would like to have a breed or breed-type association, that offers different types of sports to compete in. On the other hand, there's no telling how many people would show in it... I guess I could always try. I'm going to wait for Shelly to comment as she gave me the idea weeks ago.

If you do decide on the driving association Im sure you could ask Julia questions if you have them. She knows a ton about driving If you do decide on a thoroughbred association I'd only have a few horses to enter unless you set up races and such for the association too

If we do a TB association, I will make sure that there are races.

I'm all for an Eventing association or a Thoroughbred association. Either or I'll bring my horses out! I was tossing around the idea of starting my own all-sim forum after hiatus, and figured an Eventing association would be the best bet. I'd be happy to help run one (especially the Eventing association, I've been learning loads about it). Let me know I guess
